Esperanza is governed by a volunteer board of directors committed to good governance practices, transparency, and accountability to the community and donors that support Esperanza Shelter’s mission.

As a 501(c)3 organization, Esperanza files a Form 990 with the IRS annually and is open to the public for review. Esperanza’s financial statements are audited annually by an independent public accounting firm.
