Hope is always at the heart of Esperanza Shelter. Today, I’m excited to share news that strengthens our ability to bring that hope to even more individuals and families throughout Northern New Mexico. Esperanza Shelter’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit status has been retroactively reinstated.
Esperanza Shelter, a domestic abuse treatment center, could soon be the home of a forensic exam room specially set up to investigate strangulations — only the second of its kind in New Mexico.
SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) — A long time shelter for victims of domestic violence announced a new expansion to help people experiencing some of the most dangerous abuse. In Santa Fe, Esperanza Shelter is getting ready to open their new strangulation exam room. It’s a place where survivors can receive care that may be hard to find in the state.
