| I have wonderful news to share! Esperanza Shelter has officially regained our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
While our commitment to survivors has never wavered (and as you'll see below, our service numbers have increased significantly over the past year), this milestone opens exciting new doors for Esperanza Shelter's future. Our supporters can once again make tax-deductible contributions directly, we are eligible for additional grant opportunities, and together we can continue expanding the lifesaving services survivors and their families rely on every day. |

Together, we will continue building hope, restoring lives, and creating safer communities. |
This achievement reflects months of hard work, strengthened governance, and the unwavering commitment of everyone who believes in Esperanza Shelter's mission. Most importantly, it reflects the incredible support of our community.
We are deeply grateful to our Board of Directors, donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters who stood with us throughout this journey. Your leadership, trust, encouragement, and belief in our mission helped make this milestone possible.
I am incredibly proud of our dedicated staff, whose compassion, creativity, and commitment never wavered. They continued showing up every day to support survivors, strengthen our programs, and meet the growing needs of our community.
With our 501(c)(3) status restored, the future is bright! For more than 50 years, Esperanza Shelter has been committed to creating safety, restoring hope, and addressing domestic violence in our community. As we look ahead, we are energized by new opportunities to expand our impact and continue developing innovative approaches to a crisis that affects 1 in 3 New Mexicans. We cannot wait to build on this momentum, strengthen our programs, and reach even more survivors, families, and community members with the support they need.
Thank you for believing in Esperanza Shelter and being part of this next chapter of hope. |
