Esperanza Shelter’s Board of Directors announces the addition of two new board members: Kassandra Roybal and John Littrell.
Kassandra has been a volunteer with Esperanza for the past three years, actively serving on our Development and Stewardship Committee. Kassandra is an Albuquerque resident where she works with the American Red Cross, now serving as the volunteer recruiter for the state of New Mexico. In addition to her volunteer recruitment and management skills, she adds a strong background in fundraising to Esperanza. Kassandra will be adding a new bundle of joy to her family in January.
It is our fortune also to bring John Littrell onto the board. John has many years of experience in counseling and education, both relevant to the work of Esperanza. John most recently served on the Board of Renesan: Institute for Lifelong Learning and worked with AmberCare as a hospice volunteer. And for fun, he and his wife, Mary, serve in volunteer positions with the International Folk Art Market. Retired now, John’s career was in the academic arena, where he spent 37 years as a counselor educator, specializing in brief, solution-focused counseling.
We are fortunate to have these two talented individuals join the Esperanza mission. Welcome, John and Kassandra!
