WELCOME TO ESPERANZA’S NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR! Esperanza Shelter recently appointed ANJI ESTRELLAS, M.A., executive director Esperanza Shelter. Estrellas, who has a broad background in nonprofit leadership, organizational development and program management, has previously worked for several nonprofit organizations in Santa Fe. She has experience in contract management, provider relations and negotiation, and
strategic planning.
Board of Directors President Marcos Zubia said, “Esperanza conducted an extensive search for an executive director who will help the organization implement new projects and preserve and cherish the Esperanza mission. The Board is confident that we have found the ideal leader in Anji Estrellas.”
Estrellas earned her Masters of Counseling Psychology from Prescott College in Arizona. She has developed innovative programming for trauma survivors and secured over a million dollars in program funding during her career. “I am honored to have been chosen to lead this outstanding team,” said Estrellas. “I look forward to strengthening the ties we have with our community partners and providing the best possible services for our clients. It’s an exciting time to be at Esperanza as we embrace opportunities and collaborate on a strategic vision.”
