Counselor-Non-Residential: Bilingual
Reports To: Counseling Services Coordinator- Non Residential
Hours: 20 hours a week
Salary: $16,000 - $19,000 annually, paid leave; employer-sponsored retirement plan.

Description: This position will provide counseling and psycho-educational groups focusing on Domestic Violence issues. The Counselor for Esperanza is responsible for working under the Counseling Service Coordinator and with the Executive Director to provide a wide variety of counseling and educational services to a diverse population of clients needing assistance with domestic violence issues. Crisis interventions, conflict resolution and problem solving, individual sessions, group sessions with offenders and survivors in the non-residential counseling program, as well as a high standard of confidential record- keeping are major parts of job responsibilities.

Development Coordinator
Report to: Executive Director
Hours: Full Time
Salary: $45,000-$50,000
Classification: 40 Hours a week, medical/dental benefits available; paid leave; Employer-sponsored retirement plan

Responsibilities include: overseeing many aspects of the organization’s fundraising and resource development and acquisition activities; special events, public relations, annual appeal, major gifts and planned giving, volunteer recruitment, procurement of tangible resources for use in the agency’s programs and enhancement of the relationships between donors and the agency. Will act as a liaison to the Fundraising Committee of the Board.

Maintenance and Repair Specialist
Program: Administration
Report To: Executive Director/Residential Services Coordinator
Hours: Part-time 20 hours a week
Wage: $15 Per Hour; paid leave, option to enroll in employer sponsored retirement plan after one year

Description:
To provide general and regular maintenance and repairs at our residential and non-residential facilities. Help facilitate the management of donated items for use at the shelter and distribution to residents. To ensure the prompt handling of all on-site maintenance; and to act as the liaison for communication with contracted companies for larger repairs and warranty items.

Shelter Aide Residential
Reports to: Residential Services Coordinator
Hours: 40/week: staggered
Starting Pay $10.50 per hour, medical/dental benefits available; paid leave;
employer-sponsored retirement plan. ($11.50 per hour for fluent bi-lingual
applicants)

Requirements: Associates Degree or above.

Description: Residential shelter management and maintenance of shelter,
crisis interventions, as well as a high standard of confidential record-
keeping are major parts of job responsibilities.

Advocate/Case Manager
Up to 40 hours a week, staggered
Pay starts at $12.00 per hour / or $13.00 per hour for bi-lingual applicants, medical/dental/life insurance benefits available; paid leave; employer-sponsored retirement plan after 1 year of employment.

The advocate/case manager at Esperanza recognizes that the interests of shelter residents are their primary responsibility. They are to foster maximum self-determination on the part of the resident, to provide crisis intervention, personal and legal advocacy, and individual life skills training and peer counseling for shelter clients and their children. Help residents with positive goal setting. Answer the 24-hour crisis line. May include overnights.
